AUTOPICK - THE WAY FORWARD?

ITS NOT A LOTTERY V AUTOPICKWARRIORS

Gonzalez (21.30pts)

Its official. The Warriors are indeed relevant. 153Pts was enough to cruise past the Lottery. Is autopick the way forward? The Bears defence (38pts) and fantasy zombie Gonzalez (21.30pts) laid the foundation for the victory. Despite the win the Warriors remain 2 behind the Polarbears but they are once again forecast a bumper crop of points in their week 6 matchup against 79FC. If the Polarbears slip up against the Lottery we may just have a contest atop of the all conquering North. One thing is certain, Coach Conor is the best coach in Ireland.
The Lottery won't feel too bad about dropping this one, although Coach Elliott will be praying that just once this season MJD and McCoy will deliver during the same week. Wallace had the off day he was due but has a better match up in week 6. A 6-6 season may well be enough to win the central this season and the Lottery still have the potential to be a 6 -6 team.

THE HAIRY FROG DISCO V SUPER SWEDES

The Swedes hold the key..

Oh dear oh dear. The Disco continue to display frailties in all departments as they enter a 2 game losing streak. A little piece of history was made however as a Disco tight end scored a touchdown for the first time in league history! A 72.04pts team total would only have been enough to beat, well, nobody actually. Thankfully for the Frogs they take on the laughably poor West Coast Mafia in week 6. If Coach Calum can conjure up a win they will, unbelievably, still be in contention. They might even break 100pts.
Despite the win Swedes find themselves bottom of an unexpectedly tough Northern division, but that's only because they are the North's weakest team. The Swedes will not make the playoffs this year. In fact they will prop up the North for the rest of the season. The only thing that can change this state of affairs would be to trade for a quality QB although they will have to sacrifice a starting RB or WR to achieve this. However these QB do exist on the bench of one or two teams, QB's that are doubling the pts total of Flacco and Stafford on a weekly basis. Hit the trade button Coach Peter.

FEAR FACTORY V PAULS POLARBEARS

Unbeaten.

In this, the tightest season we've ever seen, one team refuses to join the party. Coach Paul and his mighty unbeaten Polarbears. They now stand an implausible 5-0. Just how how has Coach Paul constructed this coaching masterclass. Stage 1, reboot and relocate your franchise. Stage 2, miss the live draft. Stage 3, play your QB's on a match up basis and get the call right every time. Expect this unprecedented run of success to continue as the Polarbears beat the Lottery in week 6. The dream of the perfect season is alive and well. All hail Coach Paul!
QB Brees did his best for the Factory and Marshall is the WR that everyone wish they had landed in the draft but outside of these two it was slim pickings for Coach Botond. The Factory are bottom of the South and 1 win away from going top. The South is the tightest division in an already ridiculously tight season and there is nothing to suggest that anything will change any time soon. Week 6 sees the Factory take on our current Champions but with Brees and Marshall both missing due to byes Coach Botond needs to be hitting the waiver wire to have any hope of return to parity.

THE BONES ROCKS V TIM RIGGINS BENCHWARMERS

Cruz continues to shine.

A quick history lesson. The Benchwarmers bust onto the scene in season 2 and promptly stormed into the playoffs. Season 3 saw them crash back down to earth as the media rounded on them as one season wonder but season 4 has seen Coach Dick display his wears for all to see. They are currently the top ranked none auto picked team, they have possibly the strongest bench in the league and are also in procession of number 1 pick from the wavier wire. Rogers has found his form, Cruz has maintained his form from last season and Henderson is proving a consistent threat. The only cloud on the horizon is the strength of the North. Divisional match ups will be key in the coming weeks for the Benchwarmers.
The Rocks remain top of their division despite posting a losing record. What has happen to the once mighty Central? What has happened to the once mighty Super Cam? What would anyone persist in starting Green? These are the questions that Coach Lars must answer if he is not to blow the best chance the Rocks have had of making the playoffs since the leagues inception.

WEST COAST MAFIA V SEVENTY NINE FC

Coach Cullen.

It's all too easy to laugh, to mock but the Mafia's performance's have indeed been criminal. This remember, is the team led by the league's potty mouthed pixie, whose preseason threats ring hollow, a timid coach, too scared to face the press. We can only presume Coach Cullen is sitting in a corner somewhere, rocking gently, wimpering. 87.86pts total pts, one win all season, the lowest pts total in the entire league, ranked 11th overall despite having the softest schedule to date. The bigger they think they are, the harder they fall.
Is Coach 'keeper league' Martin making space for a second Carlton Bowl trophy? It's not as improbable as it sounds. Having tied their colours to the New England mast what was Ridley doing on the bench? It could have proved costly but thankfully for 79FC the Mafia were unable to take advantage. Week 6 will see 79 lose against the Warriors but expect to see Coach Martin there or thereabouts comeith the playoffs.

TTTTAYLOR V FRENCH LEADER

French Leader.  Heading home?

We can only imagine what the silent one must be thinking of his team's defence of their hard earned title as they lost a close one to the French Leader to fall to 1-4 and prop up the entire league. Only the Lottery have had to face a tougher schedule thus far and so perhaps the game isn't quite up just yet. Coach Taylor remains the best picking of a match up D the league has ever seen, Ryan and Charles continue to deliver on a weekly basis and Ttttaylor benefits from completing in the league weakest division. It's too early to write off our defending champions but the clock is ticking.
Has Coach Laurent returned from his holiday? Lets hope so as his team can lay claim to a positive record and have as good a chance as anyone of making the playoffs. Week 6 see's both Colston and Blackmon on byes so the French Leader win have to find an viable internet connection before the week is out.

 GOOD CALL

Coach Paul rotates his quarterbacks and claims another win for the unbeaten Polarbears.

BAD CALL

Silent Coach Ttttaylor hangs his head in shame after leaving Bradshaw and his winning 32.90pts on the bench.

 ON THE BOARD

GRIFFIN III - 90.34

VICK - 74.48

So is anything any clearer after week 5? No, not really. We can perhaps dismiss but one team, the West Coast Mafia are officially appalling. The Disco do not appear to be in much better shape but they have coaching heritage on their side so they remain in the mix for now. The same truth applies to Ttttaylor. The leagues top to sides are the autopicked Polarbears and the autopicked Warriors. This state of affairs cannot be allowed to continue. This time next week we will be at the half way point of the regular season. Will anyone be brave enough to take on a maverick trade to blow things open or will the current game of cat and mouse continue to the season's end?

Good luck gentlemen.

Jim Marrs - Autopicked.
